Argo
We saw Argo on Thursday, so it's nice and fresh! It's a engrossing historical thriller which keeps you on the edge of your seat even though you know how it ends. It has a great sense of verisimilitude -- it just looks right.
After reading on Wikipedia about all the ways the plot deviated from history, I was a little surprised (even thought I knew about a couple of them before I saw the film). When the movie goes to such great lengths to look right, you kind of expect it to be correct in other ways. But I guess looking correct doesn't cost anything except money, but keeping the plot correct can sap the suspense, themes, character arcs, etc.
