Archiels Madhouse #27

Here's the cover of Archie's Madhouse #27, the first cover appearance of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.  I hadn't seen it before today, and I just wanted to share it...

It's odd, isn't it?  All the other covers for Madhouse in this period were simple gags, but this one is presenting readers with an unusual situation and hopes they'll but the book to see why this girl is doing what the commercial tells her to do.  I haven't read the book, but I assume Sabrina is under some sort of spell (from another witch, or maybe one of her own spells gone bad).  But back when this was published, most readers wouldn't have known who Sabrina was (she was just introduced in Archie's Madhouse #22 a few months earlier), and nothing on the cover clues you in to the fact that she is a witch.  So what did they think of it, I wonder?
