Bedtime Stories

A week ago yesterday, we saw Bedtime Stories because my brother and sister-in-law and the nieces were in town and wanted to go to Cinema Grill.  It's not really a bad movie, but it's not a good movie either.  It just sorta exists.  Adam Sandler actually tones down his act to make a passable childrens performer, and there's also Lucy Lawless, and Keri Russell as a mermaid (briefly), but the sloppy storytelling weighs everything down.  Actually, all the plotting around how the kid's bedtime stories come true is clever, but the rest of the plot is just dumb.  And then the movie gives the kids a CGI guena pig for a pet so he can do cute pet tricks whenever there's an empty second without a gag.
So there's no reason you must see this movie, but if you happen to see it there's no reason to run away screaming either...
