So today a late Christmas present came in the mail from my parents: Innocence and Seduction: The Art of Dan DeCarlo! It's a great book, filled with lots of beautiful DeCarlo art. Unlike previous books which focused on only one part of his output, this is a balanced look at his whole career. The text (by Bill Morrison) is brief (as befits an art book) but benefits greatly from the fact that Morrisson actually knew DeCarlo (and then did research when writing the book). Previous DeCarlo biographies were based mainly on study of his work , and contained lots of guesswork about why he made certain career choices.
