We are back from our little last-minute trip to Devil's Tower. We left my parent's ranch in Glendo, Wyoming on Sunday morning, and traveled up thr Douglas, Bill (where I bought a Bill Yacht Club t-shirt), Wright (where we found out how they were doing after last year's tornado) and Gillette (where we ate lunch at the Lula Belle Coffee Shop) to Devil's Tower. We spent the afternoon there being awed before moving on to Hulett (the town where my parents lived when I was born), Vore Buffalo Jump and on to Sundance for the night (where we ate supper at the Aro Restaurant).
On Monday, we slept in some then came home thru Upton ("The Best Town on Earth," where we ate lunch at the Western Cafe), Newcastle (where we did quite a bit of looking around at cool old buildings, but the Accidental Oiltourist trap hand-dug oil well is closed), Lusk, Lingle, Torrington and Cheyenne (where we had supper at Snake River Pub & Grill, the only restaurant on our trip that we do not recommend). A fun little trip with lots of antelope!
