Archie - mirror

I for one am really enjoying this idea, I hope you keep it up. :)
This could turn into quite a big project in the end. If you were to have enough reliable people compiling from various (cross-era) books, it could be monstrous.

My next step, I think, is to move these posts to a lj community where anyone else can contribute. I will probably do that in a week or two...

If that is successful, the next step would be to enter everything into a database, then build a web site that access the database. People looking for a specific product, etc. could use a search form, people adding data would also use forms, etc. I don't have the slightest idea how to do any of that, but i suppose I could learn.

A community sounds like a good idea. I'd enjoy helping with the project.

I'd think there would be some database that could be tweaked fairly easily for these purposes, I'll probably be looking around now out of curiosity. I don't go much farther than web design and pre-packaged databases, myself.
